Elite Athlete funding applications still available
APPLICATIONS for the Lincolnshire Elite Athlete Programme (LEAP) 2013 are still open.
Sportsmen and women from Lincolnshire, who are competing at county, regional, national or international level, are encouraged to apply for the programme for funding and support throughout 2013.
The benefits include support with funding, mentoring, promotion and marketing, support through Sports Massage and Remedial Therapy company CS-SMART, opportunities to attend training courses and a performance camp with double Olympic medalist Bryan Steel.
Rachel Belcher, LEAP Project Officer at Lincolnshire Sports Partnership, said: “This year, we have funded 50 athletes and donated nearly £20,000 to sportsmen and women across Lincolnshire. We want as many athletes as possible to apply for the programme.”
An application form for LEAP 2013 is available to download from http://lincolnshiresports.com/sport/lincolnshire-elite-athlete-programme.
The deadline to apply is Friday, October 5. Alternatively, call Lucy or Rachel on 01522 585 580 for more information.
LEAP supports 50 athletes each year. It works in partnership with a number of organisations, including Lincolnshire County Council, district councils and corporate clubs.
