Alford U15s net perfect 10

Mid Lincs football U15s division B

ALFORD Town U15s have now won five straight games in a row, only conceding two goals while scoring 33 goals.

On Saturday Alford took the challenge to Cranwell.

Alford settled into the game very quickly playing some great football and Walsh had an early opportunity but the keeper saved. However it was Denby who slotted home the first goal of the day to get the ball rolling.

It wasn’t long before he took the pass from Bailey and secured his second of the match.

The third goal came from a great corner delivered by Archie Paul and found James Cole who buried it in the back of the net for Alford’s third of the game.

Denby claimed his hat-trick and Alford’s fourth before half time.

After the interval Alford kept pressing and it wasn’t long before Bailey, the league’s top goal scorer tucked away his 11th goal in five matches with help from Langlois,

Archie Paul and Bailey worked well together supplying Marshall with the opportunity to get his name on the score sheet for Alford’s sixth goal.

Cole again knocked in another goal from a corner ball in from Archie Paul for the seventh goal.

Archie Paul had set a few up but managed to get his name on the scoresheet for Alford’s eighth goal and also buried the ninth goal too.

Bailey finished the goal scoring off by taking the score to an impressive 10-0 win for Alford Town.

Thanks to Pat Cole for running the line and to our sponsors Scamans Taxi’s and Hunt’s coaches.

Team - Tait, Lowes, Simpson, Cole, Harrison, Langlois, Briggs(c), Paul, Marshall, Walsh, Day, Denby, Bailey. Man of the match - Archie Paul.
