WITH just one week to go, the Alford Wheelers’ 10 mile time trial league has found another winner in Adam Coffey, who revelled in ideal conditions to return a personal best time of 23mins 25secs.
This time was more than a minute clear of runner-up David Allen, in 24mins 28secs, with Mark Bembridge third in another personal best of 24mins 30secs.
Other top 10 placings were: fourth, Mick Pell 25-13; fifth, Brendon Thomas 25-17; sixth, Paul Ripley 25-19 (PB); seventh, John Potter 25-31; eighth, Russell Lintin 25-33; ninth, Stefan Bryan 25-55; 10th, Arthur Middleton 27-24.
The under 16s Winner was Ryan Thomas, in 24-49 (PB), with Tyler Wright runner-up in 26-29, and Michael Rothery third in 27-09.
In the handicap section, the winner was Adam Coffey (allowance 3-53), nett 19.32, with Andrew Mawer in second (allowance 8-35), nett 19-52, and 12-year-old Bruno Gillick third in (allowance 11-38), nett 19-58.
The league’s final event is on Thursday, at 6.30pm, at Bilsby.
