Monday - PUPILS from Toynton All Saints Primary School finished fifth at the East Lindsey Kwik Cricket festival in Skegness, recently.
Eight schools from around the district competed in the contest, organised by the Lincolnshire Coastal Schools' Sport Partnership.

Community development officer for the English Cricket Board Niall Young was the referee for the cricket festival.

He praised Tristan Clements' bowling skills, judging him to have bowled the best over of cricket on the day.

He also complimented the team for its use of the over-arm bowling action.

CJ Cadwallander and Emma Davies shared captaincy and Max Magner was the only team member not to be bowled out in three innings.

The Toynton pupils, aged nine-11, beat The Richmond School, from Skegness, and Sutton on Sea Community Primary School, but lost to eventual winners Horncastle.
