Thursday - SKEGNESS boxer Ben Lawler's next fight could feature on Sky Sports at the end of July.
Lawler, 24, of The Close, will fight Tyrone Nurse, from Huddersfield, on Friday, July 24, at The George Carnell Leisure Centre in Manchester, as part of a Sky Sports boxing card.
Both boxers hold unbeaten records and Lawler's trainer and manager Carl Greaves believes he is ready for the contest.
He said: "It is a step up for Ben but we have to test the water and move him up a level. "We want to develop him further and it offers a great opportunity to showcase his talent."
Mr Greaves trains professional boxers and was asked to put forward boxers for the Sky Sports event.
He said there were a couple of higher profile bouts which will be screened but Lawler could feature on the show.
Mr Greaves said: "Ben is getting stronger all the time and being on Sky Sports will not phase him. There is no pressure on him to win but he will be ready for the fight."
Kevin Lawler, Ben's dad, added: "We are very proud of him and it is a return for all his hard work."
* The television schedule has not yet been released for the show's timings but will be available through Sky Sports website, www.skysports.com
