Wednesday - THE first half began with St Neot's dominating, having five consecutive short corners, none of which were successful due to the Skegness defence.

This unfortunately was to change, when following a quick break by the St Neot's forwards, goalkeeper Vicky Thurston was confronted by a three on one situation, which resulted in the first goal of the match.

Another short corner five minutes later resulted in the second goal as the ball was slipped to the left and past the Skegness defence and goalkeeper.

At 2-0 down, Skegness upped their game and began to fight back against the dominant away team. The pressure from the Skegness team ultimately led to the third goal of the game, this time scored by Skegness midfielder Kate Tyler, who dragged the ball around the keeper on the reverse stick side after receiving a pass from a long corner.

In the second half, although the Skegness defence, led by veteran player of the match Lara Potts was very strong, they were helpless when a powerful and accurate strike from the top of the 'D' resulted in the third St Neot's goal.

The final goal of the match was scored by a St Neot's player who struck the ball decisively past the Skegness goal keeper from the centre of the 'D' to leave the score 4-1.
