AFTER Skegness' emphatic 67-0 victory over Lincoln 3rds last week, Skegness travelled to play Lincoln 4ths brimming with confidence.

The game got off to an excellant start with McMurray bursting through the Lincoln defence to make the score 5-0.

Within the opening three minutes Lincoln then came straight back with a well worked try themselves, plus a sucessful conversion to take a 7-5 lead.

After this setback Skegness then took control of the game with powerful running and play coming from the forwards who constantly supplied quick ball to the backs which led to a further nine tries being scored.

Tries came from; Taylor (3), Nighingale (3), McMurray (2), Jenkins and Groves. This display shows this Skegness side seems to be improving as the games go on. Their next fixture is away at Market Rasen on October 11, kick off 3pm.

Skegness 2nds: Brown, Farnsworth (vc), De La Fontaine, Dennis (c), Metcalfe, Jenkins, Fitzerkelly, Taylor, Nightingale, Frost, McMurray, Groves, Bell, Cooke, Wood, Whenman and Holiday.
