Thursday - THE Skegness Pier Angling Club (SPAC) Lincolnshire Pairs match was held from Chapel Six Marsh and resulted
in a three-way tie, with the top three pairs all ending up on four zone points.

Final placings had to be decided on total fish length, with Kettering's Dave and Josh Shorthouse coming out on top, catching six flounders measuring 166cm.

Junior angler Josh was the individual winner for the second year on the trot, with his dad also taking the heaviest flatfish award, for a 35cm flounder. Top Grimsby pairing Jim Greer and Karl Nangle took second place, with a 4 flounder catch for 114cm. Close behind in third were the new pairing of Holbeach-based Adrian Crane and match organiser Chas Tibble, who winkled out four flounders between them for 113cm. Completing the line up of prize winners was SPAC stalwart, Boston's Mo Fendyke, whose 27cm bass was the only eligible fish caught for the heaviest round fish prize.

Next SPAC event is a festival open match, which will be held on Saturday, July 4, from 4-8pm at Moggs Eye.
