Annual over 55s bowls tournament opens in Skegness

Friday - ON Saturday the annual over 55s bowls tournament was opened in Skegness.
Now in its third year and there has been a record entry for the open singles, open pairs and open triples contests.


All three competitions are supported by local businesses, Skegness, East Coast and Wolds Hospitality Association, Fantasy Island, Hewisons Supermarket and Beachlands Holiday Apartments and Tea Gardens.


Bowlers from all over the country and some from Northern Ireland are competing for the prize money and the much coveted Jolly Fisherman figurines.


The week long competition reaches its climax today, Friday, when the finals and presentations will take place.
