Tuesday - WITHIN the first minute Alford Ladies, sponsored by Callaby's stores, stamped their mark on the game.
Lincolnshire Green League
Alford Ladies 1st XI 12
Gainsborough 2nd XI 0
Kelly Tuplin's shot rebounded and found the stick of Kelly Wilkinson, who scored for Alford's first goal. Having missed out on the goal a minute earlier, Kelly Tuplin's reverse stick shot surprised the agile keeper who could do nothing to prevent Alford's second in the second minute of the game.
Chloe Bolland lifted a shot over Gainsborough's keeper into the back of the net for Alford's third.
Gainsborough, fearing an onslaught, moved some of their players to try and tighten their defence, however they were no match for the Alford strike force and in a ten minute spell mid half, Alford increased their lead to seven with quick goals from Jess Wood, Kelly Wilkinson and a further two from Kelly Tuplin.
In the closing minute of the first half the proficient strike force of Kelly Tuplin and Chloe Bolland weaved their way through the whole field culminating in Chloe Bolland flicking the ball past the stranded keeper for Alford's eighth.
Within the first five minutes of the second half Alford were 10 up after goals from Chloe Bolland and Kelly Tuplin.
Gainsborough, to their credit, never gave up and rearranged their players to try to give their keeper a fighting chance.
This seemed to work until Kelly Tuplin found the back of the net for Alford's 11th. Within a minute, Chloe Bolland had scored Alford's 12th.
Man of the match was Kelly Tuplin.
