A TOOL marking session will be held in Spilsby on Saturday, as police crack down on garden and allotment thefts.
The session will be held at Spilsby allotments, off Hundleby Road, between noon-4pm by the neighbourhood policing team and the area's crime prevention officer, who will mark gardening equipment using specialist engraving tools.

The tool marking means stolen property can be traced to owners and property returned.

Allotment Watch, aimed at bringing the community together to fight garden crime, will also be launched on Saturday.

Information about Allotment Watch and crime prevention will also be available during the session.

* If you cannot attend the session and wish to have property marked, contact Spilsby Police Station, tel, 01790 752222.
