A GLOBETROTTING minister who discovered healing powers after working in Spilsby, will be taking his powers to Kirton.
The Rev Melvin Banks has conducted services for the sick in more than 50 countries worldwide.
On his travels, he says, 'thousands of people have been healed of all types of illnesses'.
He claims to have seen people in wheelchairs stand and those on
crutches walk unaided, as well as relieve people of skin diseases and depression.
"I believe people can expect a service of tremendous power, amazing things they have never seen before," he said.
"I believe it will be a night of miracles, I am expecting a lot of people to be wonderfully healed."
Mr Banks, who is based in Wiltshire, was a pastor in Spilsby for 12 years from 1973.
In that time, the village's Pentecostal Church became known as 'the church where no one ever died', as Mr Banks never conducted a funeral service.
Mr Banks, who says he discovered his healing powers a year after coming to Spilsby, left the village to take his power to the masses.
He says around two-thirds of those for whom he prays respond within weeks, if not immediately, while the other third say he eases their pain or gives them hope.
He will be at Kirton Town Hall tonight, Wednesday, at 7.30pm.
Admission is free. To reserve a seat call: 01205 460789.
