A RACE night at The Red Lion pub in Raithby raised around £350 for Spilsby Rotary Club.
Punters were greeted by club president David Pleming who explained funds would be donated to buying LifeStraws, water purification tools which clean dirty surface water, making it safe for human consumption.
He said LifeStraw was the Rotary international committee's main scheme for the year and thanked landlords Kevin and Wendy McVeigh for their help in organising the event.
Mr Pleming explained every £5 raised would buy a LifeStraw which would convert enough dirty water into clean drinking water for a child for up to two years.
Some women turned up dressed for Ascot, while Mr McVeigh donned a top hat for the occasion.
