‘Very impressed by Prince William at anniversary’

EDITOR - Being a 1st SAS veteran, 1944 vintage, I attended the WW2 70th Anniversary of the SAS Regiment at the Hereford depot on August 6/7.

Prince William and Kate attended and greeted all us old ‘uns.

They had lunch in the sergeants mess with the rest of us and were quite informal.

We were invited to address them as William and Kate during their visit, which lasted most of the day.

I may add that William is well thought of in the SAS Regiment, having come in contact with him in the jungle and the guys thought well of him.

I am not much of a Royalist, but if he’s okay with the regiment then who am I to disagree?

I was much impressed by his down to earth attitude. He’ll do!!
