Young musicians strike winning note

This year’s East Lindsey Young Musician Competition saw two students from the Piano Academy in Skegness win with their impressive singing.

Tia Bunce and Tiana Towers put on award-winning performances for the judges, securing them victory in the under 14 and the under 11 categories.

Nine-year -old Rhianna Wilson also proved to be a worthy contender in the competition, playing her Grade 3 piano pieces and receiving some wonderful comments in the under 11’s category.

Singing tutor Rachel Butler expressed pride in both of her students for their hard work and excellent performances on the day.

A Piano Academy spokesman said: “Everyone enjoyed the experience and we would like to congratulate Tia, Tiana and Rhianna on their performances.”

Organised by Louth Male Voice Choir, the competition has developed into one of district’s premier musical events.
