A happy couple who met in a Skegness care home have proved that you’re never too old to fall in love.

George Richardson and Patricia Tomkins celebrated the blessing of their relationship at Seacroft Care Home - where they first fell for one another.

Home manager Sue Capes said the pair’s shared love of singing and dancing led to their union, which was celebrated among friends and family during Saturday’s event.

“It was really nice because you can really tell that they do love each other and it seems to have breathed some youthfulness into them both,” she said.

After the blessing, in which fellow care home resident John Price was the best man, the guests enjoyed champagne and a meal together with entertainment from local singer Graham Gold.

Prime Life, the care home’s parent company, has offered the couple a honeymoon at one of its other facilities in Norfolk.
