The official opening of the Community Garden in Winthorpe will take place on Tuesday, August 7.
The Winthorpe Community Garden, on Count Alan Road, provides individual raised beds which are allocated to local residents to grow their own vegetables, fruit and flowers. From 10am onwards, the venue will be hosting a range of helpful workshops for everyone to enjoy. A cookery demonstration using healthy produce from the garden will be delivered by the East Lindsey District Council’s Food for Life team and Health Trainers be on hand. As well as this, Master Gardeners will be there. The event is held in conjunction with Winthorpe and Winthorpe Youth and Residents association residents association, New Linx Housing Trust and ELDC’s Seed2plate project.
