A new Alzheimer’s Dementia Café is starting in Skegness - and volunteers are need to help.

People are asked to give just a few hours each month to serve refreshments, help run activities and chat to people with dementia and carers.

Phil Measures, volunteering Officer for the Alzheimer’s Society in Lincolnshire, said: “We’re confident that this new Dementia Café for Skegness is going to make a real difference to the growing number of people who are living with the condition locally.”

Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Cafés are free to attend and provide people with dementia and carers a platform to try out activities and talk openly about living with dementia within a relaxed and informal environment.

The Skegness Dementia Café meets on the third Thursday of the month from 10am–12noon at the Storehouse on North Parade.
