Volunteers are being sought urgently for a long-running car share scheme in Burgh Le Marsh.
Dedicated drivers are needed for the Burgh Voluntary Car Share Scheme which has been running many years but has seen a shortage in members recently.
“We are looking for some new drivers who can help,” said Jim Dodsworth member.
“There’s been a few who have simply got too old to do it and it benefits the community so much,” he added.
The drivers can help elderly, infirm or those in need of a lift, support with going shopping and hospital trips by arrangement.
“We help take people to hospital, clubs and those who find it hard to get around in our rural areas,” he explained.
Anyone with a driving licence and time to spare can call to become a voluntary diver.
“Those interested can give me a ring and I can talk them through it,” he said.
“We need those with a clean driving licence, car and we pay 40 pence per mile towards the cost of petrol,” Jim added.
