CHRISTIAN AID - The recent collection around the village for Christian Aid raised £383.

The organisers would like to thank all who distributed envelopes and contributed.

FPS - Hundleby walkers enjoyed a long hike in the North Wolds area of Brookenby on May 5, led by Paul Hunt.

Setting off from the caravan park the walkers passed through the villages of Thorganby, West Ravendale and East Ravendale before lunch.

On a hill top two tree trunks conveniently carved into seats proved a welcome break before going back to Wold Newton. It was decided to take the short route back to the cars after that.

The evening walk from East Keal on May 15 began towards the church but branched off to School Lane and on to Toynton All Saints.

Through Linkage grounds, a path led across the A16 towards Hundleby but then veered off towards East Keal through the bluebell woods towards East Carrs; always spectacular at this time of year. A stroll along the A16 towards East Keal completed Stef Round’s choice of walk.

On Sunday, June 2 the walk is at Osbourneby and on June 19 from Fulletby.

SOCIAL GROUP - The annual garden fete will take place in the Parish Rooms, Church Lane on Saturday, June 8 from 2pm-4pm.

There will be the usual cake, tombola, produce, book and bric-a-brac stalls as well as a raffle and games outside, weather permitting. Cream teas are also on offer.

All proceeds will go towards the Social Group funds, which are at present involved in much needed work in the Parish Rooms.
