FAMILY SERVICE - All Saints Church, Croft, was packed on Christmas Eve for a very atmospheric Family Carol Service.

Despite being without a vicar, an enjoyable service was held.

Bev Mawer started the proceedings with a solo of ‘In the Bleak Midwinter’.

The Christmas story was told by the children, interspersed with carols.

The congregation enjoyed a musical interlude with the keyboard being played by Ryan and Alex Pain & Emily and Chloe Bray.

Organisers would like to thank Dave Squires for playing the church organ and Ellie, Charlotte and Sam Drury, Lorna & William Bowser, Emily Dowlman and Jack Underwood, who also performed during the service.

The collection raised the wonderful sum of £208 to be sent to St Andrew’s Children’s Hospice, Grimsby.

The congregation enjoyed mulled wine and mince pies at the end of the service.
