CARNIVAL CLUB - The Carnival Club has a new Chairman - Mr Paul Wilson.

The new committee was elected at the annual general meeting on October 15.

The outgoing chair, Mrs Mandy Kimberly, thanked all for their hard work over the year and especially the fundraising team who work tirelessly throughout the year to raise funds for the annual event.

New members are welcome to help plan and organise the carnival in 2014.

The next meeting will be held at 7pm on November 12 at Crantocks Tea Rooms, Chapel St Leonards.

CHRISTMAS SALE - There will be a Christmas Sale at the Village Hall on Sea Road on October 27 from 1pm to 5pm.

The sale will feature lots of gift ideas, cards, jewellery, crafts, books, homemade cakes and a café.

Part of the proceeds will go to St Mary’s Church, Hogsthorpe.

BAND - The Alford Silver Band will play at a Remembrance Service concert in the Village Hall in Chapel St Leonards on November 7 at 7.30pm.

Tickets will be on sale shortly.

COFFEE - There is a Coffee & Stalls morning at the Village Hall in Chapel St Leonards every Thursday from 9am to noon.

“Come along and make new friends,” said a spokesperson.
