BARN - Members of the barn dance workshop were in festive mood at the last workshop of this year. The next workshop is on January 10 at 7.30pm in the WI Hall.

CHOIR - The Choir Academy presented a concert recently at Burgh House in aid of the NSPCC.

CHRISTINGLE - The recent Christingle service in the parish church of St Peter and Paul was very well attended with nearly 80 children receiving Christingles.

EVENSONG - There will be Sung Evensong at the Parish church of St Peter and Paul this Sunday, December 29 at 4pm.

GROUP - There will be a Group Sung Eucharist at St Martin’s Church, Welton, this Sunday, December 29 at 9.30am.

EVENT - There was an enjoyable event at the Windmill recently, organised by the Events Committee, which featured the Burgh Primary School Choir, plus community singing led by Pastor Colin Bowden. Father Christmas put in an appearance to dispense gifts to the children.

There was soup, beef burgers and mulled wine as well as tea/coffee and cakes, various stalls and a raffle.

Calendars of Burgh Windmill were also on sale.

TREE - The Christmas Tree festival in the parish church of St Peter and Paul was very well attended, with all ages from babes in arms upwards.

The service was conducted by Father Terry, assisted by several children.There were items by the Burgh school choir and the Burgh church choir also took part.

Father Terry expressed his thanks to Layfords for the Christmas trees, and to all who had sponsored and decorated a tree and to all for their help and support.

Tea and mince pies were served at the end.
