CANDLELIGHT SERVICE - St. Paul’s Baptist Church in Skegness will be joined by Burgh Baptist Church for a special candlelight carol service on Sunday, December 22 at 6pm.

All are invited to come and enjoy carols, sketches and fellowship afterwards in the Mustard Seed Cafe.

CHRISTMAS - Burgh Baptist Church will hold a candlelight carol service at 6pm on Christmas Eve, with refreshments and nibbles afterwards.

They will also hold a celebration service to mark the birth of Jesus on Christmas Day at 10.30am.

A special Christmas Day dinner will also be held at Burgh Baptist Church from 12.30pm.

If you expect to be on your own for Christmas, know someone who is, or know of a carer and caree who would like the traditional trimmings without all the work, then contact Colin on 01754 811260 for more details.

SERVICES - Services at the parish church of St Peter and Paul during the Christmas season are as follows:-

On Sunday, December 22 a carol service will be held at 4pm with the Church Choir and Burgh Handbell Ringers.

On Christmas Eve a Crib service will take place at 4pm. Then at 11.45pm there will be the Blessing of the Crib followed by Midnight Mass.

On Boxing Day there will be Eucharist at 9am.

On Saturday, December 28 the feast of the Holy Innocents Eucharist will take place at 9am.

And on Sunday, December 29 there will be Sung Evensong at 4pm.

WI - At the December meeting of Burgh WI the evening featured songs from the Choir Academy, which included the Beatles and Christmas Carols.

This was followed by a faith supper, which was much enjoyed even though many had been for a Christmas Lunch at the Windmill Restaurant.

Competition winners for Bloom of the month were Audrey Chatterton and Leila Ladd.

Christmas Decoration winners were Shirley Clarke, Pam Vessey and Audrey Chatterton.
