ANNIVERSARY - At the recent anniversary of the community tea room £1,000 was presented to the Air Ambulance and £500 to the parish church.

During the 14 years of the tea room over £20,000 has been raised for charity.

HERITAGE - At last week’s Heritage meeting a colourful and informative video was presented by Norman Barker showing the history and development of circuses.

On Monday, November 11 there will be a presentation on the history of fair grounds.

Meetings are held each Monday in the tea room at the Windmill at 7.30pm.

QUIZ - The recent parish quiz raised the sum of £156 for parish church funds.

Thanks to those taking part and all who helped in anyway.

REMEMBRANCE - The Remembrance Sunday family and Parade Eucharist will take place this Sunday, November 10 at 9.45am at the parish church of St Peter and Paul followed by the act of Remembrance at the War Memorial.

Then on Monday, November 11 there will a short Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial at 11am.

SAUSAGE - The annual sausage and mash supper in aid of the British Legion Poppy Appeal is on Saturday, November 16 at 7pm in the Village Hall.

SHOPPING - There are still a few seats left on the Monday Club shopping trip to Peterborough on Wednesday, November 20, leaving Burgh at 9am.
