CONFIRMATION - A service of confirmation will take place in the parish church of St Peter and Paul next Wednesday, October 30 at 7pm.

DIARIES - Church diaries for 2014 are available at Burgh church and at the community tea room as well as at the Burgh Group of parish churches.

HERITAGE - At the Burgh Heritage open meeting at the mill on Monday, October 14, Norman Barker showed a fascinating video about different methods of ploughing by horses, steam cultivators and tractors.

The history society (which is now part of Burgh Heritage) were given 40 intersting videos about local activities and events over the years.

Norman shows these at the mill at 7.30pm on alternating Monday evenings during the winter.

These alternate with a meeting with a speaker.

The next video will be shown on October 28 and is entitled “The History of the Circus”. Admission is £1 and there is usually a raffle.

Any proceeds will go to the mill’s funds. The meetings are open to all.

Also at the mill on alternate Friday evenings at 7pm there are bingo sessions with raffle and refreshments. Again any proceeds go to the welfare of Burgh Mill.

All are welcome.

LINE - The popular yet informal line dance group lines up for footwork, friendship and fun at Burgh Baptist church on Wednesdays at 2pm.

NURSING - Parish Nursing Drop In at Burgh Baptist church is held on Fridays from 10am to 11.45am.

People of all ages are welcome to pop in for a check up, support or prayer with Nurse Mandy and the team (no appointment necessary) or just enjoy a chat over coffee and scones.

PHOENIX - The Phoenix Group offers support and friendship for those facing loneliness from various circumstances. Prayer is offered if desired.

The group also enjoys outings to different venues and guest speakers from time to time.

Meetings are held on Wednesdays from 10.30am to noon at Burgh Baptist church.

YOUTH - Burgh Baptist Church holds a number of youth meetings each week.

Impact chills out on Mondays at 6.30pm for Year six and up. Kings Club meets on Tuesdays for Reception to Year Five and Little Treasures Parents and Toddlers gathers on Thursdays at 1.30pm.

Newcomers are always warmly welcomed to any of these groups.
