CRAFT - A reminder of the craft and produce show, organised by Burgh WI, which will take place in the WI Hall this Saturday, September 21 at 2pm.

ENTERTAINMENT - A reminder of the evening of entertainment in the WI Hall this Friday, September 20 at 7pm when there will be displays by local groups, including the barn dancers and line dancers.

There will also be a buffet supper.

Admission is £3 and you are asked to bring a plate of food for the supper.

GARDEN - The next meeting of the Burgh Garden Club is on Wednesday, September 25 at the Burgh Baptist Church, The Causeway. Doors open at 7pm, starting at 7.30 pm.

The guest speaker will be Mike Morgan talking about “Ancient Hand Tools”

All will be welcome. Refreshments are available.

GRANT - Please note the telephone number to apply for grant application forms for the Jane Palmer Education Foundation is 01754 810931 and not as printed recently.

Anyone residing in Burgh up to the age of 25 and who is seeking further education may apply to be considered for grants which may be used to help with the cost of books, tools and equipment, protective clothing or uniform.

JUNIOR - The Junior Church (Sunday School) has resumed again at St Peter and Paul Parish Church following the summer break. It runs from 9.30am to 1030am, at the same time as the Sung Eucharist.

All children are welcome to this and it has been encouraging to see the numbers increasing over the years.

HARVEST FESTIVAL - Burgh Baptist Church warmly invites all to its Harvest Festival celebrations, including set-up of the harvest display on Saturday, September 21 from 10am.

Donations of produce are being accepted.

The morning Harvest Service will be held on Sunday, September 22 at 10.30am.

Refreshments will be served afterwards and produce from the harvest display will be sold for charity.

All are also welcome to enjoy the informal Harvest Tea at 6pm, when a light meal will be served together with uplifting worship music and chat.

COUNCIL SURGERY - Burgh Town Council will hold its next public surgery at Burgh Library, High Street on Tuesday, September 24 from 10am to 1pm.

Residents can share their concerns or ask questions of the councillors present, who will then report the information back to the full council meeting on Friday, September 27 at 7pm in the Wesley Room, Burgh Methodist Church.

Residents can also access the library during surgery hours to check out or return books.

NURSING - Parish Nursing Drop In at Burgh Baptist Church is held on Fridays from 10am to 11.45am.

People of all ages are welcome to pop in for a check up, support or prayer with Nurse Mandy and the team (no appointment necessary), or just to enjoy a chat over coffee and scones.
