WI - Burgh WI members and friends enjoyed a coach trip to Hornsea last week to visit the Hornsea Inshore Rescue Centre.
They were shown a DVD and given a very informative talk about the centre, followed by a guided tour.
This independent rescue service is manned by volunteers who work closely with the RNLI. The volunteers have also recently teamed up with the Yorkshire Ambulance First Responders.
A donation was made to the centre and, after a fish and chip lunch, it was onto the Freeport outlet shopping village where several of the party took advantage of the bargains.
Thanks were expressed to organiser Rosemary Payne and the driver Nick.
