GRANT - Grant application forms are now available for the Jane Palmer Education Foundation.

The foundation dates back to 1726 when Jane Palmer bequeathed lands in Burgh for a free school. Today the money is used to provide assistance to young people up to the age of 25 who are resident of Burgh and who are seeking further education or apprenticeship.

The grant can be used to help with the cost of books, tools and equipment, protective clothing or uniform.

PARTY - The Mothers’ Union held a garden party recently in the grounds of the Windmill Heritage Site, which was opened by the Mayor, Coun Jeff Whyatt.

TEA - A recent afternoon tea, hosted by Mick and Pat Capes, raised £630 for church funds. Thanks are expressed to all for their help and support.

TWINNING - The Burgh Twinning Association will meet in the council room next Tuesday, August 13 at 7pm.
