PEOPLE living and working in Skegness are being asked for their views on the recently proposed Foreshore Master Plan, which could shape the future of the resort and attract investment.
The Master Plan provides a framework for the future regeneration of the foreshore area from X-Site down to the boundary with Gibraltar Point SSSI.
East Lindsey District Council, which commissioned the Master Plan, is now consulting further on the vision, which sees the Foreshore zoned to focus on sports and adventure; amusements, leisure and culture and an eco-zone.
The Master Plan looks at how to raise the profile of the resort, attract investment, create more all year round jobs and make better use of assets, such as the beach.
It also looks at how the town and Foreshore areas can better link together.
Three consultation drop in sessions have been arranged for the Upper Foyer in the Embassy Theatre in Skegness on Thursday, October 23 between 3pm and 7pm Monday, October 17 between 11am and 1pm and Wednesday, October 26 between 10am to 12noon.
Economy and tourism team leader at the district council, Jon Burgess, said: “The results of the consultation will inform the development of a new planning framework for the foreshore that will help us deliver the vision laid out in the visit: www.e-lindsey.gov.uk
