VIDEO: Red Nose Day fun in the Skegness area

Schools and residents across the area are taking part in challenges to raise money for this year’s Red Nose Day appeal.

Pupils at the Richmond School in Skegness also dressed in red for Comic Relief.

Residents at Eresby Hall Care Home in Spilsby hit the right octave for Comic Relief this afternoon when they took part in a national sing-along, which went out live on the Skegness Standard Facebook page.

Sixty-nine Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT) care homes across the county raised the roof at 3pm for the Red Nose Day Sing A Song Challenge.

The residents in Spilsby joined thousands of others in care settings across the UK in singing ‘Sing’ by the Carpenters.

I’m very proud of my residents and the staff who helped organise this.

As well as residents and employees, OSJCT invited relatives and members of the local community, including volunteers and school children, to join in the sing song.

Donella Savage, home manager, said: “I’m very proud of my residents and the staff who helped organise this.

“I hope tyhe other homes get to see what we did.”
