Video: Construction underway on Skegness beach racing course

Construction is now well underway on the course for this weekend’s annual AMCA Motocross beach racing in Skegness.

Diggers are busy constructing the course’s many mounds on Skegness beach, and the track area has been cordoned off.

This year’s AMCA event, the third in Skegness, will take place on Saturday and Sunday, November 17 and 18.

Last year’s races attracted a huge crowd of 20,000 people over the two days.

And organisers are confident that this year’s racing will shatter that total.

The racing will get underway on the Saturday at around 10.30am with the one-hour MX2 Youth contest (18s and under).

This will be followed by a two-hour Quads and Sidecars (16 years+) race, which will start at noon.

The day’s racing action will come to an end with the one-hour Kids 85cc/150Fcc (nine-to-15-years) race at 2. 30pm.

On Sunday all eyes will turn towards the mammoth Adult Solo race.

This epic three-hour contest will test the endurance of both man and machine. It will get underway at noon.
