UPDATE: Eight Fire crews now battling Southview blaze but no one reported injured

Eight fire crews are currently tackling a blaze at Soutview Leisure Park in Skegness and plumes of black smoke can be sseen from miles around.

The Leisure complex has been evacuated and there is currently no entry to the complex.

A total of eight crews are now involved in keeping the fire under control, including crews from Mablethorpe, Skegness, Holbeach, Leverton, Alford, Spilsby and Horncastle are all in attendance.

“We currently have eight appliances at the Southview Leisure Park tackling a fire in its leisure complex. The building has been successfully evacuated and no one has been injured. The fire was a substantial one but we are now starting to bring it under control. We kindly request that people in the area keep away from the site. Nearby residents and holidaymakers may wish to keep their windows and doors closed,” said Graham Almack, Deputy Divisional Commander for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue.

There has been damage to the swimming pool and the Southview Bar and restaurant adjacent to the golf course.
