Two weeks of roadworks scheduled for junction in Mumby

Improvement works will take place at the A52/B1449 junction in Mumby, starting on Monday (March 13).

Then for the duration of the resurfacing works - due to start on Monday March 20 - a complete night time road closure of the area surrounding the junction will be in place from 7pm until 6am each day.

The signed diversion routes for the closure will be via A52 to Ingoldmells; through Orby to Gunby; A1028 to Ulceby Cross; A1111 to Sutton on Sea; and to A52 and vice versa. A pedestrian route will be maintained at all times.

Lincolnshire County Councillor Richard Davies, Executive Member for Highways, said: “As part of the improvements being made, the shape of the junction is being changed as a way of slowing vehicles down before leaving the A52.

“In addition, we’ll also be removing and replacing the current islands within the junction with a central island.

“These improvements, along with resurfacing to replace road material that is nearing the end of its serviceable life, will make the junction much safer for all road users. We will do everything we can to minimise disruption and ask for your continued patience while these works are carried out.”
