Dignitaries lead the Remembrance Day march through the heart of Skegness.

People across the local area and the wider country stopped what they were doing at 11am this morning (Sunday) to mark the two minute silence in honour of those who have died fighting for our freedom.

Remembrance services are being held in towns and villages to mark Remembrance Sunday.

And further services will be held tomorrow (Monday) to mark Armistice Day itself - November 11.

This photo features dignitaries and groups marching through Skegness this morning on the way to the town’s Remembrance Day service at St. Matthew’s Church.

There will be further photos from the Skegness events and other local remembrance activities in this week’s Standard.
