Road works on the A158 at Wragby are due for completion later today (Tuesday).
Final improvements need to be made to a footpath, requiring temporary traffic lights to be in place between 9.30am and 3pm. Once complete the A158 and B1202 will be fully open.
During the last 12 weeks the road has been fully reconstructed and resurfaced and should not need further repairs for at least 20 years. Three new pedestrian crossings have been installed, traffic lights signals upgraded, and footpath next to the Marketplace widened.
New traffic light systems are expected to reduce congestion by managing traffic flow more effectively, particularly during rush hour. The £350,000 scheme has been completed slightly ahead of schedule.
