Seventeen-year-old cyclist taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham with ‘significant’ head injuries after crash on A158 between Burgh le Marsh and Skegness

A 17-year-old cyclist was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham with ‘significant’ head injuries yesterday evening (Thursday) after a crash on the A158 between Burgh le Marsh and Skegness

Emergency services were called out at 5.15pm after a silver Kia Piccanto, driven by a 29-year-old Grimsby motorist was in collision with a push bike on the Burgh to Skegness road outside Poppys.

Police said the cyclist was taken to Boston’s Pilgrim hospital with “significant” but “not life-threatening” injuries, and later transferred to Nottingham’s Queen Margaret Centre for treatment.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact police on 101 quoting ‘incident 327 of April 18’.
