LATEST: Fatal crash police appeal for motorcyclist to come forward

POLICE investigating a fatal road crash at South Ormsby last week have made a further witness appeal.

Emergency services were called to South Ormsby at the Bluestone Heath junction, near the Massinberd Arms pub, at approx 1.40pm on Sunday following a collision between a blue Triumph motorcycle and a silver Vauxhall Corsa.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 67 year-old man from South Humberside, died at the scene.

The occupants of the Corsa, a 79 year-old female driver and her 78 year-old male passenger, were uninjured. Both are from Boston.

Police have now urged potential witnesses to come forward as they try to figure out the exact circumstances of the accident.

In particular, they wish to speak with the rider of a motorcycle that was travelling North from Ulceby Cross roundabout towards Louth onto the A16 that afternoon at 1:35pm.

This motorcycle then travelled onto the Bluestone Heath Road and then to South Ormsby.

“We are keen to trace this motorcyclist as they may have important information that would help the enquiry and that person is asked to please contact Robin Dunn on the Collision Witness Hotline on 01522 558855,” said a police spokesperson.
