AN experiment to try to improve traffic congestion in Ingoldmells “has not been a success”, it has been revealed.
A ‘no right turn’ was installed on Roman Bank/Sea Lane earlier this year in a bid to cut back on lengthy tailbacks during the tourist season.
But the trial appears not to have had the desired impact.
And at the latest meeting of Ingoldmells Parish Council, members were read out a letter from Lincolnshire County Council which suggested that the scheme was not a success.
Parish Council members said that in their view the only way of reducing congestion in this area was to relocate the bus stop - something which had already been suggested to the Highways and Transportation Division.
The parish clerk will notify the Projects and Traffic Support Manager of Lincolnshire County Council of this issue.
