A SKEGNESS man had a lucky escape on Monday evening when he was struck by a car on the town’s Grand Parade.
The 65-year-old man, who has not been named, received minor grazing to his left leg and left arm when he stepped out into the road in front of a silver Ford Mondeo at around 7.55pm.
Police and first response paramedics were quickly on the scene, and kept the man in the recovery position as a precaution until the arrival of an ambulance at 9pm.
The road was reduced to one lane during the incident, but disruption was minimal.
A police spokesperson said: “He received minor grazes to his left knee and left elbow, but suffered no serious injuries at all.”
