Passengers looking to travel along the Nottingham to Skegness Poacher line this weekend will be able to take direct trains along the full length of the route - despite ongoing disruption on other routes in and out of Nottingham.

There will be direct trains to and from Skegness during the main part of the day, with some bus replacement services on early morning and late evening journeys between Grantham and Nottingham.

However, most journeys will be unaffected.

Additional bus services will run throughout the day but these will operate in tandem with most of the train journeys, and not as replacements for them.

The disruption on the line has been caused by major re-signalling work at Nottingham Station. This is set to run until the end of August, with many routes in and out of Nottingham affected.

However, there will be direct services to Skegness on most of the days - bar a 12-day window, which begins this Monday (July 29), when replacement buses will be in place on all journeys between Nottingham and Grantham. Trains between Skegness and Grantham will be unaffected throughout the work.
