The community will be able to say what they feel is important for the town during a feedback session next Tuesday.

Skegness Town Council is introducing its community-led initiative which aims to empower local communities by helping them work together to improve their area.

After this initial session, the council is hoping the whole process will run entirely by community volunteers – with the town council available to give assistance, advice and guidance.

The first starter will be held from 5.30pm – 8.30pm at The Storehouse Conference Centre, North Parade.

The council have arranged for two or three councillors from each ward in the town to advise community representatives on how they can start up the Community-Led Plan.

The event will consist of one-to-one or small group meetings so that all representatives can have a conversation with the councillors of their choice.

Those who can’t make the meeting but want to be involved can sign up to receive more information by telephoning the council offices on 01754 766113 between 9am - 4pm or by emailing their details to info@skegness.gov.uk
