A SUMMER fete, featuring musical entertainment, table top sales and competitions will take place this weekend, rasing funds for elderly care home residents.
Sand Piper Care Home, Alford, is hosting its popular annual event this Saturday from 2pm until 4pm and hopes as many people as possible can join in with the fun.
Activities coordinator Anna Denholm said: “Come along and spend he afternoon with us, last year was absolutely fabulous and we hope this year will be even better.
“I’ve been here for six years and there’s always a good turn out with lots of fun to be had.”
Visitors hoping to un-clutter their homes from unwanted items can take advantage of the free table top sale pitches and raise some money to help the care home residents enjoy excursions and visiting entertainment.
Popular singer Budgie Walton will be performing a selection of hits from throughout the decades and inviting spectators to dance and sing-a-long.
There will also be a barbecue, fitness demonstrations and the usual range of games and competitions.
