A Wainfleet store has re-opened following £290,000 refurbishment to create a new shopping experience for customers.
The new-look Co-operative food store on the High Street welcomed its first shoppers on Thursday.
The store will also provide a community hub following the revamp.
Staff received training to help provide expert advice on recipe ideas to customers.
The in-store bakery has been increased, and there is an extended range of fresh produce, ready meals and pizzas.
Store manager Wes Dark said: “I’m excited about welcoming shoppers into the new store.
“The Co-operative is a community retailer, and we are committed to playing an active role in local life, embracing the area’s community spirit. The store will be a hub for the local community, and customers will be able to find out what is going on locally, and learn more about how The Co-operative’s Community Fund can benefit local groups.”
In part of a new programme, the store has appointed a community pioneer Sharon Hackett, with responsibility for community activity and volunteering.
To celebrate the launch of the store, goody bags with special offers have been delivered to local residents.
