It was taken by house manager Astrid Gatenby. Unfortunately, the historic hall, between Skegness and Spilsby, has had to postpone its first opening of the year due to ground conditions in the car park.

The hall was orginally scheduled to open on February 14. General manager Sara Blair-Manning said: “We were hoping to open again on February 21 but unfortunately we need to postpone opening until at least February 28. The ground in and around the car park is just too soft for vehicles to use.

“We are very sorry to disappoint our potential visitors.

“Plans are under way to build an all-weather car park for the site but in the short term we need to make these difficult decisions until the ground conditions improve.”
