A SKEGNESS teen has made it through to the final stage of a national beauty pageant competition.
Her dreams of becoming a more successful model may soon become a reality when judges based in London, make their final decision between the top girls in September.
Danni-Lea Sandland, 16, entered the Miss Teen Queen UK contest last September when she entered with thousands of other hopefuls.
Danni-Lea was then narrowed down to the top 50 girls in that heat and then she successfully gained 14,000 votes to make her one of the top girls.
The top girls then go on to the final.
Danni-Lea said of the final, “I’m excited and nervous about it. I at least want to finish in the top five in the final.
“Modelling is just a hobby for me and I don’t want it to be my only career. I’m interested in psychology because I like listening to other people stories.”
The Skegness Academy student is also signed up to other various modelling projects and got the chance to be part of an advertisement for Nintendo DLS.
The advert also features top bands such The Saturdays and boyband JLS.
Danni added: “It was very good getting to see them in person and talk to them
“I made a lot of nice friends on the day and we are still waiting for the advert to come on TV.”
Danni has also been part of an advert for 02, which was filmed recently in London.
The Miss Teen Queen UK contest helps girls 13 to 19 years launch their modelling careers.
Danni would also like to thank everyone who voted for her and Mr John Biddall for his sponsorship.
She said: “I would also like to thank the customers and The Beachcomber, The Vine Hotel and Spice Lounge and the Moody Cow.”
