Charitable staff at a Skegness builders’ merchants recently spent nine gruelling hours in the saddle raising funds for impoverished children.
The Jewson store on Albert Road took part in the company’s nation-wide day of fundraising in aid of Barnardo’s - its supported charity for the year.
Branch manager and keen cyclist Amanda Ball raised £176 for the charity after riding an exercise bike continually from 8am to 5pm, with colleagues taking over during her well earned rest breaks.

“Barnado’s is a fantastic charity, which we were all delighted to be able to support.”
A landscaping day was held in conjunction with the event, with suppliers in landscaping, fencing and block paving attending to show their support.
