Skegness sponsored walk in aid of rescue dogs

A home for rescued dogs is hoping to raise £7,000 through a charity dog walk which will be held this Sunday.

Keith’s Rescue Dogs has invited local dog owners to take part in the five mile beach walk, departing from Natureland at 10.30am after a 9.45am sign-in.

A spokesperson for the charity said: “We hope to raise in the region of £7,000 this year which will go a long way to helping with the running costs after a very lean winter period. Just as important, though, is the opportunity it gives owners to come together and show off their rescue dogs whilst raising money and awareness of the endless benefits of re-homing a stray - plus it’s great fun!”

Those without dogs who would like to take part will be offered a ‘walking buddy’ from the centre.

Sponsorship forms are available from local businesses or by emailing keithsrescuedogs@btopenworld.com or by calling 01754 763543.
