All the final preparations have been made to completely turn Skegness into a festive winter wonderland tomorrow when the tree will be lit, illuminating all with its beauty.

The all important day will finally be upon the Skegness, with the Christmas Lights Switch-On taking place, as well as festive Reindeer Parade starting at 6.30pm with Peter and Paul, Santa’s newest reindeer.

Sam Kirk from Lincs FM will be joined by the beautiful Helen Bates, who is starring in the pantomime Cinderella this Christmas at The Embassy Theatre. Mayor of Skegness Coun Mark Anderson will be waving hello with the Skegness Carnival Queen and Princess and of course the big Christmas Switch-On would not be complete without Santa Claus himself.

The lights will be switched on at 7pm, creating a wonderful visual and colourful display. Guests can also visit the magical Santa and the Christmas Chocolate Factory Grotto, open from 7.15pm, complete with its great glass elevator, which wowed shoppers earlier in the week. A poster with all of the grotto opening times have been displayed and staff have been on hand to book further slots. But don’t worry, there’s still plenty of time to see the big man in red. There’s also free car parking from 6pm in Lawn Avenue, which will also run on all four late night shopping evenings at the Hildreds.
