A Skegness restaurant has been given £50,000 to support the business and create five new jobs.

Mario’s, formerly Toto’s, on Burgh Road, has received the money from East Lindsey District Council’s Rural Development Fund (RDF).

Improvements to the building include re-plumbing and re-wiring, new flooring, new dining furniture pand a new bar area.

Central to all of this is a new kitchen where meals are prepared in view of diners.

Owne, Mario Cantelmi said. “The Rural Development Fund was a major help in enabling us to source local builders, plumbers and electricians to carry out the work needed to achieve the new look we have today. Because of this, we have seen an increase in bookings and it has enabled us to employ more staff”.
